A street team is a membership of dedicated fans interested in promoting the band. Street team members take part in numerous activities that help spread the word about the band, thus increasing the band's visibility.

Street team members take part in activities such as talking about the band in chat rooms, placing banner ads on MySpace, calling radio stations to request the band's music, handing out stickers/flyers at concerts, sending emails to magazines, pass out ticket cards, etc.

Street team members earn points for their efforts. The more activities that they participate in, the more points they earn. Points can then be traded for band merchandise, concert tickets, a chance to meet the band, etc.
